ABOUT DOODAH PHOTOGRAPHY

Emma Duder

If you want to know about Doodah Photography, you need to know about me, I'm Emma, your Derby-based wedding photographer. Taking pictures of people is what I love to do. I'm very down-to-earth, relaxed and no-nonsense. If you choose me to be your photographer you'll find that I'm happy to go with the flow of your day, but that I'll do whatever it takes to get the most interesting and beautiful shots. I take pride in capturing people at their best. My background is in fine art, which means that I learnt about composition, lighting and colour theory from studying the master painters whilst at university. As well as being a wedding and family photographer, I also photograph theatrical productions and I am a photography instructor with Derby Photography Group.

Photographic Style

Doodah Photography is about pictures of people that really reflect their style, their emotions and their story. When you see the pictures I've taken of you, I want you to feel like they're the very best representation of you; that I've captured you as you want to be seen by others. Because of this, my pictures are personal, intimate and honest.

I work in a very relaxed way, I think that having your photo taken should be an enjoyable experience, even if you're usually a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera. I always give direction to the people I photograph, this means making suggestions on where to put your hands, or where to look, so you don't feel awkward. I'll never ask you to do anything you wouldn't normally do.

Kind Words

Having had a chat with Emma about what we were looking for out of pictures for the day, she got it. 100%. We’re not big on formal, we wanted casual, not in your face-ness, action shots.. & Emma delivered. She was able to be everywhere at once, getting all the little moments that we’ll cherish for ever! Every single one of our guests said how fabulous you were & how brilliant the pictures are.

Words can't express how satisfied both myself and Katie are with the Photoshoot we had from Emma, despite a few hiccups with both myself and Katie, Emma remained calm and professional and was happy to set an alternative date. Our photoshoot was fun and quirky. It certainly will not be the last time me or Katie use these wonderful services. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
