Wedding Photography at Grangefields, Derbyshire

Grangefields, Derbyshire

I’ve yet to hear anyone say a bad word about Grangefields. This purpose-converted barn venue feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by the beautiful Derbyshire countryside this is a idyllic setting for any country wedding.

Run by the team at Cripps and Co. an awful lot of experience and thought has gone into making this venue perfect for wedding celebrations. The oak room is the barn setting with beams that you’ll have seen in everyone’s ceremony photos. As a photographer I can tell you that this barn room has one up on most, as it has large windows all down one side which give plenty of natural light whilst still maintaining the intimate cosy atmosphere. Those windows are going to make your ceremony photos look amazing!

While we’re talking about massive windows, the dining room is just the same. Loads of natural light sweeping in from one side is a photographer’s dream. The top table is usually set against the dark corrugated metal of the side of the barn which looks really trendy as a backdrop to speeches.

Features such as the show kitchen, asado and fire pits all add points of interest for photos and the courtyard is great for sparkler and confetti moments as well as entertainment by day and night.

A stroll around the outdoor space gives sweeping landscapes and the fantastic textures of brickwork and wood are perfect for portraits.
