Wedding Photography at The Coach House Derby

The Coach House, Derby

This dinky little boutique guest house near the heart of Derby is the perfect setting for an elopement or intimate wedding. With luxurious gardens and super stylish decor it ticks all the boxes for an understated but stunning wedding.

I’m shamelessly including this venue in my portfolio even though I’ve only shot one tiny elopement there as I just fell in love with it. The style of the internal spaces is very much my vibe. The owners have used bold dark colours accented with pops of vibrant mustards, golds and pinks. If I had the time to decorate my house it would look like this hotel.

The gardens are also the most stunning I think I’ve ever seen in a city garden. Fully stocked with winding paths, they work so well for photos as I can shoot through the plants from a distance and make you feel like you’re all on your own which gives a really natural feel to portraits.

The wedding featured below was an elopement with just the bride and groom, the celebrant, the hotel owner and me, and it’s still one of my favourites. It was heartfelt and personal and just really really sweet.
