The Kedleston Country House, Derby
The Kedleston Country House is all that’s wonderful about the British Countryside, whilst only being a short drive from the centre of Derby. Set on the edge of the National Trust’s Kedleston Estate it has lovely views over parkland and fields as well as spacious grounds all around the building.
The Kedleston is wonderfully bright and airy, all the rooms are decorated in light neutral colours which is perfect for brightly lit photos. You can get married in the dining room or the orangery. I definitely recommend the latter for its glass ceiling and views.
There are five bedrooms available and the bridal suite is spacious with a four poster bed. Perfect for you and you team to get ready in the morning.
Top photo locations at this venue include the staircase at the rear of the building which is perfect for your confetti shot. The lane at the side of the house and farm buildings beyond for some rustic countryside vibes. The facade of the house that faces the main road is beautifully symmetrical and grand for some portraits with gravitas. And don’t forget the indoor spaces, especially the snug for giving Lord of the Manor styling to any shot.
