Editorial Museum Wedding Styled Shoot.

Museum of Making, Derby

"Every bride is beautiful. It's like newborn babies or puppies. They can't help it"

The second of our four shoots in one day extravaganza, and my personal favourite. This shoot was a chance to keep things simple, put real couple Liv & Sammy in some fancy outfits and take them around the Museum of Making as I would any couple during their portrait session.

We had so much fun, just wandering around the historic venue and taking pictures. Derby’s Museum of Making is housed in the historic Silk Mill which claims to be the worlds first ever factory. Using some of the less obvious spaces like the assemblage, which houses a collection of made items, gave a really unique backdrop to the images.

What really made this shoot was the fact that our models were just so into each other. Their chemistry shines through and certainly made my job easy as a photographer. Full of laughs, smiles, fun and intimacy, we imagined that Sammy and Liv had escaped their party, maybe a bit tipsy for some alone time on their wedding day.

The Museum of Making is a venue I work closely with. I’ve shot several weddings their, lots of styled shoots, I exhibit at their wedding fair. But this shoot still has some of the images I’m most proud of.
