Eco-Friendly Beach Elopement Styled Wedding Shoot

Chapel St. Leonards, Lincolnshire

"I would not wish any companion in the world but you."

It’s nice to have a friend in the wedding industry. Leni from Cermeonies by Leni Robson and I have been seeing theatre together for longer than we’ve been involved in weddings. So when she suggested a Shakespeare related eco-friendly beach elopment wedding shoot, I was straight on board.

These images are inspired by Shakespere’s ‘The Tempest’ which is a story of two young lovers on a deserted island brought together by a terrific storm and a bit of magic. We cast real couple, Holly and Billy, in the roles of Miranda and Ferdinand and took to the beach in Chapel St Leonards for a perfect elopement style shoot.

Leni coordinated lots of great vendors to get involved and I came up with the styling. You can see my original inspiration for this shoot on my Pinterest board. Lots of what we acheived as a team was eco-friendly from locally grown, seasonal, dried flowers from Limewood Flowers to a reloved dress from Bridal Reloved Caistor.

As this shoot took place in the middle of a pandemic, Leni brought the nuptials up to date by introducing a beautiful hand washing ceremony. A bit more romantic than antibac gel!

Afterwards, as I was busy editing, Leni wrote a fantastic blog about what we’d been up to which was published in Unconventional Wedding, check it out here.
