Western Wedding Styled Shoot.

Deadwood Cabins, Lincolnshire

"My heart's never smiled so hard Baby. Lovin' you is fun."

Models Christie & Jess are two thirds of professional burlesque dance trio Triple Threat Burlesque. I have been photographing them, and the troupe that they mentor, backstage at their shows for several years. Once in a while we’ll do a studio shoot. When Jess found Deadwood Cabins and asked if I wanted to do something Western themed my only condition was that I got to put her in a wedding dress for a few shots. The whole shoot with Jess was done on a budget, no team of wedding suppliers, just a cheap summer dress and a few artificial flowers from my local wholesaler. The resulting images are relaxed and fun with a strong boho cowgirl vibe.

A couple of months later, Christie had seen the pictures that Jess and I had done and, recently engaged herself, decided she wanted in on the action. She roped in fiance Callum and we headed back to Deadwood Cabins to do a western themed shoot with a mix of bridal portraiture, pre-wedding boudoir and fun engagement-style shots.

Deadwood Cabins was an all-American inspired glamping experience with themed cabins in the heart of rural Lincolnshire. You might not find Deadwood Cabins online anywhere anymore. Unfortunately they closed not long after we shot there, but what a fantastic location for a fun holiday or a random photoshoot!
